Synopsis

(Inspired by true events). Bill Evans, already established as the most important jazz pianist of his generation, arrives in Argentina with his trio and his manager to give a series of concerts. From Buenos Aires, they begin a crazy journey to San Nicolás aboard the old Torino of an Argentine businessman. Upon arriving, they discover that in this small town the concert has been combined with the regional beauty pageant "Miss Winter 1979". The musician's manager wants to cancel the event but he decides to present himself. A series of events intersect on the day of the show: an out-of-tune piano, a boxing match, memories, deaths, hallucinations and whisky. For Bill, addicted to heroin and alcohol and tortured by the loss of his brother, the unexpected contact with the people of the place reminds him of his childhood and youth, giving him a respite from his self-destruction. The impossible and the true, on the brink of the bizarre, take Evans' mind to unsuspected places in a militarized Argentina full of elements of the time.
