Synopsis

Ronnie Monroy is about to turn 65. All his life he has been an anonymous public employee and a boring husband. Now, on the verge of retirement, he meets the women's prison, where he will find an opportunity to give his life a new meaning.

In prison he meets sad and helpless women, willing to reciprocate with affection whoever wants to be generous with them. He helps them solve their legal problems and, once free, face their personal problems. Suddenly, he develops abilities that he never thought he possessed. He is good at negotiating with judges and prosecutors, and successfully navigates the murky waters of the Peruvian legal system. Against all odds, Ronnie finds a space and progresses in the corrupt corridors of the Judiciary. He manages to create a modus operandi that allows him to get what he is looking for and live adventures that he never imagined, but at the cost of the fate of the very women he intends to help.

Ronnie becomes part and complicit in a justice system that has little of "fair". A structure designed to destroy the weakest. An environment where women are condemned without any process, to later take advantage of their desperation to regain their freedom and resume their lives. A world where all abuses are systematized and normalized. A perverse system, based on corruption and abuse of power, where everything is allowed.

Ronnie becomes involved in a spiral of violence and deceit that quickly overwhelms him. The adventure he started gets out of hand and puts his own life at risk. He himself questions when everything got out of control. Does he really act driven by the right reasons, by feelings of solidarity and generosity towards his neighbor? Or is it that he always wanted to occupy a space of power and, now that he has achieved it, he only seeks to exercise it and abuse a position that he never had?
