Synopsis

“Destiny Puppets” (Muñecos del Destino) is a dramedy series narrated in a very original format:  it was entirely made with cloth puppets. The plot is about a traditional family from the countryside, its centennial fabric business, and the conflict generated by deep-rooted family mandates as well as generational and social conflicts, love stories, and police intrigues.
When the patriarch and owner of the fabric store “Masmud’s Home” is assassinated, his son Naim is forced to take control of the business, and agrees to an arranged marriage with Layla. However, Naim is in love with another women, and his feelings for her represent the beginning of a new path towards his freedom. The second season of “Destiny Puppets”  is focused in the past of Masmud (Naim’s father) as a young man, who falls in love with a gypsy girl, and their families disapproval of their passionate relationship.
